2016 has been difficult for many so let’s take a look at what has been announced or teased to look forward to in 2017…
The XX – I See You
After having been quiet for a few years since their 2012 album Coexist, The XX fans can rejoice with the news that a new album is due to be released next year called I See You! Check out their website to also see when they’ll be touring near you!

Laura Marling – Semper Femina
Laura announced new album Semper Femina that looks like it’s set to be full of music as pure as her writing always is. A tour has also been announced for March 2017 which is selling out incredibly fast so check her website to see if there’s still tickets for your area available!

Ed Sheeran – ???
Ed Sheeran teased fans by changing his profile and cover photos on social media to this blue colour. What does it mean? Well most likely it’s the announcement of a new album, but it’s probably the most cryptic tease of 2017 so far, and there’s been no new music posted so you’re going to have to wait for the big reveal!
Another announcement for 2017 graced our twitter feed this year – James Blunt announced in his signature satirical way that he’s releasing a new album. Other than this and a note on his website stating ‘new album on the way…’ we don’t know much else about it!
Enter Shikari teased us earlier this year – leaving fans wondering whether there’d be an announcement of a new album. However it turned out to be the news that they’d be performing a special celebration gig at Slam Dunk Festival 2017 – as it’s the 10 year anniversary of their first album Take To The Skies!
Rou also tweeted this strong message, which perhaps hints at a 2017 album but nothing official has been said yet.

Phil Collins – Tour
Phil is back doing a short tour to promote his autobiography Not Dead Yet – although Phil can’t play drums anymore, he can sing and he’ll be accompanied by his son on drums. You can still catch him in Paris for a couple of dates but it’s sold out elsewhere already!
What else are you looking forward to in 2017? What bands do you hope will have new albums/tours/announcements in 2017?
