Feature of the Week – Animals as Leaders

Feature of the Week will be posted every Monday where a band or artist chosen by myself or someone interviewed will be highlighted to you with a short description and a song of theirs will be added to my Spotify Playlist.

This week’s Feature is Animals as Leaders!

Animals as Leaders are a 3-piece experimental-metal sort-of math rock band from Washington, D.C., with clear jazz and latin influences…. pretty confusing to explain!

Their music is technically complex but because there are no vocals, their songs make for brilliant ‘background’ music if you need to concentrate on something but don’t like ‘chill’ music – I often listen to AAL on a long drive.

Animals as Leaders released an album titled The Joy of Motion in 2014 which debuted at #23 in the Billboard Top 200, and released a new album in 2016 titled The Madness of Many.
