Imagine Dragons – Evolve

Something I’ve noticed is ID have always had very emo-looking album covers, but not a lot of their music I’d put under that genre – perhaps Evolve will break that trend?

There are very few new music releases this week, but in the past month we’ve had new albums from Alt-J, Coldplay (EP), All Time Low, The Onion Ring Queen (aka Lorde), Nickleback and also a re-issue of OK Computer by Radiohead!

Official Charts

This week at no.1 is the charity single in aid of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and at the no.1 spot on the album chart is Royal Blood’s album How Did We Get So Dark. On the album chart, Divide by Ed Sheeran and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man’s Human are both still hanging on in there at the 2nd and 4th spots, with Nickleback and Lorde filling in the gaps in the top 5.

Billboard Alternative Chart

Billboard have an alternative chart where they figure out which ‘alt’ songs have been the most popular that week, ranked by airplay. This week, Imagine Dragons are still at the top spot with Believer. If you want to check out the whole top 40 list on the alternative chart, here’s the link.
